What Is PRF Gel?

Like PRF, PRF gel contains a high concentration of platelets, along with white blood cells and stem cells. What’s the Difference Between PRF and PRF Gel?

When heated, PRF transforms into a gel that more closely resembles fillers such as JUVÉDERM® and Restylane®. This consistency provides unique benefits compared to PRF, which is more of a liquid. PRF gel creates a time-release system of growth factors that can last for 30 or more days, compared to about 2 days of PRF without gel, or a few hours with a PRP injection.

What To Expect

As with our PRF procedure, a PRF gel treatment begins with a nurse practitioner collecting a small amount of blood from your arm. The collection tube is placed into an FDA-approved centrifuge to spin the blood and separate the PRF. The PRF is then transformed into a gel before being injected into the treatment area. This gel acts as a natural scaffold, supporting the gradual release of growth factors and promoting sustained tissue regeneration. The appointment takes about 60 minutes.

For optimal results, we recommend a series of treatments, usually spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Many of our guests enjoy the benefits of PRF gel therapy for 6 to 12 months or longer, with maintenance treatments helping to prolong the effects. PRF gel offers the most prolonged and consistent release of growth factors, leading to more sustained regenerative effects and longer-lasting results.
