We recommend PRX-T33 at our med spa for patients whose facial, neck, and décolleté skin has started to lose its elasticity, but who aren’t ready for plastic surgery. Bone and fat loss, as well as gravity, cause skin to droop, which leads to jowls, “turkey neck”, and sagging skin under the eyes and on the cheeks.

Request an AppointmentMost medium chemical peels, such as the VI Peel® at our Vero Beach medical spa, include trichloroacetic acid (TCA) as a main ingredient. TCA helps exfoliate the skin and reduce fine lines. PRX-T33 contains 33% TCA, but it sets itself apart from chemical peels by also including both kojic acid and hydrogen peroxide. These substances change how TCA works during treatment, enabling it to still reduce fine lines but without TCA’s peeling properties.
This proprietary blend is what makes PRX-T33 unique. Hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid reduce inflammation of the skin’s outer layer, called the epidermis, and help restore production of new skin cells. They also help hinder melanin, the pigment that causes skin discoloration and sunspots.
The SkinTyte treatment uses infrared energy to selectively heat dermal collagen deep in the skin while cooling the skin’s outer layers to minimize discomfort during the procedure. As with JuVaShape, the heat generated by the infrared energy stimulates the body’s natural healing process, generating new, firmer collagen that results in tighter skin.
Our med spa guests begin seeing significant results after the first of the 4-treatment protocol. Treatments are performed every 7 to 10 days. Another benefit of PRX-T33 treatments compared to traditional chemical peels is that the skin isn’t more sensitive to sunlight after the procedure, so you can undergo treatments year-round. That’s certainly an important consideration along the Florida coast.
A SkinTyte procedure can be performed with or without a topical anesthetic, depending on the treatment area and the guest’s preferences. The provider uses a handheld device to deliver the infrared energy in a series of rapid, gentle pulses. The sequence is repeated over the treatment area to ensure optimal results. While the face and neck can typically be treated within 30 minutes, the actual time will depend on the area treated.
As with other skin rejuvenation and skin tightening treatments, the results of SkinTyte & PRX-T33 procedures emerge gradually as the skin produces new collagen. Rarely do our med spa guests experience side effects after the treatments. Most people see the optimal benefits after more than one treatment.
